Where can I see my Avios balance?
You can check your Avios balance in your personal area, My Iberia Plus > Avios. Here you will find all your transactions dating back to 2015. You can search for them by date or service category. If you have any questions, you can submit them through this form.
Can another person use my Avios?
You can name beneficiaries of your Iberia Plus card so they can use your Avios for any of the programme services, without you having to accompany them on flights. You can change them whenever you want and update the list of your beneficiaries directly through your private area on Iberia.com My Iberia > My Profile > Frequent Companions.
How do I buy, gift, transfer or donate Avios?
If you don't have enough Avios to pay for a flight or service provided by a partner, you can buy Avios to top up your balance. As a member of Iberia Plus, you can buy and gift Avios to anyone you want.
If you have an account in your name in the Executive Club and/or Avios Travel Rewards programmes, you can transfer Avios from those accounts to your Iberia Plus account or vice versa, through your Personal area > My Iberia Plus > Avios.
You can also link your Vueling Club account to your Iberia Plus account to merge your Avios balance.

Do my Avios expire?
Always use your Iberia Plus card for flights or with any of the programme partners to avoid the expiry of your Avios.
In accordance with the Avios expiry rules, your Iberia Plus account must show at least one transaction (Avios collected or used) in the past 36 months to avoid losing the Avios you have collected. Transferring Avios (either issuing or receiving) is not considered a transaction.
The system will automatically alert you at least 2 months in advance about the number of Avios that are going to expire. You will also be able to see this in your account statement, which you can check on iberia.com.
Once your Avios have expired, you cannot get them back.
Are my Avios refundable?
Tickets purchased with Avios for flights operated by the Iberia Group (Iberia, Iberia Express and Iberia Regional Air Nostrum) are refunded in line with the fare and the following conditions through your Iberia Plus Service Centre:

Blue class: Changes and refunds are allowed up to 24 hours before the flight with a penalty of €25. No full refunds or partial refunds for segments not flown are allowed after the flight.

Full Economy: Changes and refunds are allowed up to 24 hours before the flight. No full refunds or partial refunds for segments not flown are allowed after the flight.

Premium Economy: Changes and refunds are allowed up to 24 hours before the flight with a penalty of €25. No full refunds or partial refunds for segments not flown are allowed after the flight.

Tickets purchased with Avios to fly with other airlines belonging to the Iberia Plus Programme:

Flights with all other airlines, including those belonging to the oneworld alliance are non-refundable, but changes are sometimes allowed. Check the particular conditions of each ticket at the time of purchase.

Changes and refunds are not permitted for tickets purchased with Avios for Vueling flights.
For products and services of non-airline partners purchased with Avios, refunds must be processed directly with the partner in question and will depend on their returns policy.
Can I use my Avios to buy a ticket for my baby?
You can use your Avios to buy a ticket for a baby (under 2 years old) on our website, at the same time when you are buying one for yourself. If you have already made a booking with your Avios and want to add a child under the age of 2, you will need to contact our Iberia Plus Service Centre.
What are Avios and how do I get them?
Avios is the name of the global loyalty currency of the Iberia Plus, Executive Club and Avios Travel Rewards programmes.
Sign in as an Iberia Plus card holder every time you fly with Iberia or book services with any of the programme partners. That way you'll collect Avios to redeem for flights, hotel stays, car rentals and other services.
There are over 90 partners associated with the Iberia Plus programme, and you can collect and spend Avios with all of them.
How can I use my Avios?

Book flights for yourself or anyone you want in exchange for your Avios; combine them with money if you don't have enough; or use them to deduct part of the amount during the purchasing process. In the latter case, you will also collect Avios for your net spending in euros (excluding taxes and fees).

You can buy and gift Avios to anyone who is an Iberia Plus cardholder.

Customise your trip by purchasing an upgrade with your Avios, provided your ticket fare is Y, B or H and subject to availability in the Premium and Business cabins.
What do I do if I'm missing some Avios or Elite Points?
If you find that the balance in My Iberia Plus > Avios doesn't show all the Avios or Elite Points earned for flights taken or services used, remember that for transactions where you entered your Iberia Plus number during the booking process, it will take up to 2 months, depending on the airline or Iberia Plus partner, for them to appear in your account.
If your Avios or Elite Points have still not been recorded in your account after two months, follow the steps below to claim them:

In all three cases above, you have 6 months from the date of service to claim Avios or Elite Points; or 3 months if you registered after the date of service in the case of airlines. The Avios will be recorded in your account within 3 months of the date of your claim.
Can I pay for a booking with my Avios?
You can pay for your purchases with Avios through the flight search on Iberia.com. Once you have chosen your origin/destination and travel dates, the option Pay with Avioswill appear.
You can also access this option through Purchase flights with Avios. Alternatively, call your Iberia Plus Service Centre.
Another option is to combine Avios and money. Sign in, go the payment page and select the option of paying part of the amount in Avios. You'll see different amounts and their equivalence in euros. Choose whichever suits you best.
If you belong to a loyalty programme of another oneworld alliance airline, you must book through their website or their Call Centre.
Tickets obtained with Avios do not generate Avios.
Can I add my Iberia Plus card after I've bought my ticket so I collect the Avios?
If you have already bought your ticket and forgot to enter your Iberia Plus card number, you can add it by accessing your bookings under Manage your booking. When you reach your booking details, select Passenger information and enter your loyalty card number. Alternatively, you can add it during check-in.
Once you have flown, process it through My Iberia > My Iberia Plus > Avios and Elite Points > Claim Avios.
