What is the Basic Fare and how do I book it?
With the Basic Fare you can get tickets for fewer Avios. Changes are allowed before the departure of flight with a penalty and are non-refundable. You can book a Basic Fare directly at iberia.com, on the Purchase flights with Avios page, or by calling your Iberia Club Service Centre.
How do I upgrade to a higher cabin class with my Avios?
If you have a ticket in Economy class (fare Y, B or H) for a direct flight by the Iberia Group* (Iberia, Iberia Express and Iberia Regional/Air Nostrum) and want to change it to Premium Economy or Business, you can purchase an upgrade with your Avios to travel in a higher cabin class. This service is subject to availability.
*Except Air Shuttle flights and flights operated by other airlines.
