By car
Road routes vary depending on your starting point and whether you choose a toll road or a toll-free one.
Regardless of the Terminal assigned to your flight (T4 or T4S), access will always be from the T4 or terminal building.
Come along the M-12 toll road or the M-14 road linking to the toll-free M-13.
These are the different ways to get to Terminal 4
Toll route
1. Take the M-12 from:

M-40 Southbound: exit the motorway at junction 8

The M-40 Northbound: exit the motorway at junction 2A to take the R-2 (Madrid - Guadalajara) and get off at junction 3.

M-11: exit the motorway at junction 7

A-1 (Burgos): get off at junction 17
2. Arrival at T4
Toll-free route
1. Take the M-14 from:

M-40 Southbound: exit the motorway at junction 9A to take the M-11

M-40 Northwest: exit the motorway at junction 2B to take the M-11

A-2 (Zaragoza): get off at junction 12

A-2 (Madrid): get off at junction 12

A-1 (Burgos): get off at junction M12 through to the M-13 (changing direction)
2. Terminals T1, T2 and T3 will be on your right.

By public transport
Tax, metro and bus. Whichever is best for you to get to the terminal your flight departs from.
Regardless of the Terminal assigned to your flight (T4 or T4S), access will always be from the T4 or terminal building.

Line 8: Nuevos Ministerios / Aeropuerto T4.
By Bus
To T4:

Airport Express Line: from Renfe Atocha to Aeropuerto T4.

Line 200: From Avenida de América to Aeropuerto T4.
Stops at Avenida de América with Agastia and Calle Alcalá - Canillejas. The final stop is at Level 0 (Arrivals) at Terminal 4. Open from 6 a.m. to 11.30 p.m. Comes every 10-15 minutes.

Intercity bus line 827: From Alcobendas and Tres Cantos to Aeropuerto T4.
The stop is at Level 0 (Arrivals) at Terminal 4.

Intercity bus line 828: From Alcobendas to Aeropuerto T4.
The stop is at Level 0 (Arrivals) at Terminal 4.
Shuttle bus between airport terminals:

T1: You can reach T4 in the free AENA shuttle buses which run 24 hours, leaving from terminals T1 and T2 and going directly to Terminal T4.

T2: From 6.30 a.m. to 11.30 p.m., every 8 minutes. From 11.30 p.m. to 6.30 a.m., every 24 minutes.

T3: The trip takes around 3 minutes.

T4: The bus stops are at T1 Departures, T2 Departures and T4 Arrivals (Level 0).

The car park
More than 9,000 vehicle spots in our car parks. There are also different types of car parks: public and VIP.
Regardless of the terminal assigned to your flight (T4 or T4S), you will always access it from the T4 or terminal building.
Public Car Park (P4)
For private and rental vehicles, the car park is located to the west of Terminal T4.
The building has the capacity for nearly 9,000 parking places and is made up of 6 connected modules (A, B, C, D, E and F) that cover a total area of 309,000 m2. Each module has five floors and 12 escalators, 24 lifts and 14 moving walkways and ramps.p>
The central modules (C and D) are the ones that provide the fastest access to the check-in area.
Long term public car park
Located on Avenida de Logroño, next to the roundabout to the hermitage, at the entrance to the town of Barajas, this car park is used for all four terminals.
From here there is a shuttle bus service to T4..

Vehicle access is via the "Only authorised vehicles" road located immediately before the entrance to the T4 car park.

Access to the terminal using the lift at the foot of the parking places.

VIP car park customers should drop off and pick up their vehicles in the assigned places within Module C of the public car park located on Level 0. These places are found in the last two rows at the end of the "C" module.
The terminal building
You can access the entire area formed by T4 and T4S via highways and metro and suburban rail stations.
Regardless of the terminal assigned to your flight (T4 or T4S), you will always access it from the T4 or terminal building.
Located in front of one another, separated by the landing strips but joined together by an underground train.
The terminal area departures and arrivals roads have a total of 12 lanes. These access lanes are only found in Terminal T4.

There are six lanes on the Arrivals Level (Level 0), with 3 lanes for taxis, 2 for buses and 1 for other vehicles.

There are a further six on the Departures level (Level 1), with 3 lanes for taxis and 3 for private vehicles.

The underground and suburban rail (Cercanías) station is located on Level -2.
Moving between terminals
There are several free modes of transport to get from one terminal to another.
And remember, if your flight departs from T4S you will have to access it through the main T4 building.
People Mover
The T4 building is connected to the T4S satellite building by an automated people mover (APM), which can help you get from one area to another 24 hours a day.
The station to catch the APM is located on Level -2.
The ATM runs along an underground airport services tunnel (AST) to cover the 2,100 m distance between the buildings, connecting the two stations.
Travel time between stations is just over 4 minutes, with trains departing every 2 minutes during busy periods and docking at the station for 30 seconds.
Passenger shuttle bus
This free service takes you from one part of the airport to another, facilitating movement between terminals T1, T2, T3, T4 and T4S and is available for passengers in transit who have already checked their baggage.
It has the following stops, depending on the terminal you arrive at:
Journey between Terminals T1 - T4S and T4S - T1
Stops:

T1 Level 0, Room 1.

T4S Level 0.
*The service runs 24 hours and with a frequency upon demand.
*Maximum waiting time is 30 minutes and maximum travel time between the two terminals is 15 minutes.
Journey between Terminals T1, T2, T3 and T4.

T1 Level 0, Room 2 (passenger pick-up).

T2 Level 0, Room 5 (passenger pick-up).

T2 Level 0, Room 6 (passenger drop-off).

Free minibus to the long term car park
This shuttle bus links the long term car park with terminals T1, T2 and T3

The service runs from 7 a.m. to 12 midnight continuously. If you need to use the service between 12 midnight and 7 a.m. please request it via the interphones located at the arrivals stops.
If the wait time exceeds 10 minutes, you can use the interphones.
Shuttle bus between airport terminals
