How to arrive

T1 is connected to Barcelona and other places of interest via taxi, bus and suburban rail (via terminal T2). There is also a car park with 12,000 spots for people who arrive in their own vehicle.

Barcelona airport access

By taxi

T1 has two taxi ranks with capacity for 450 vehicles which will take you to your destination.

A main rank with capacity for 24 taxis picking up passengers simultaneously and a waiting area with capacity for 250 taxis; and a rank in the Barcelona-Madrid Corridor where the Air Shuttle is located, with capacity for 12 taxis picking up passengers simultaneously and a waiting area for 200 taxis.

By underground

L9 Sud tube line connects the airport to Zona Universitària, stopping at Fira, Parc Logístic and Mercabarna.

The tube line 9, L9 Sud, connetcs Zona Universitària to Barcelona- El Prat Airport. It stops at Zona Universitària, Collblanc, Torrassa, Can Tries/Gornal, Europa/Fira, Fira, Parc Logístic, Mercabarna, Les Moreres, El Prat Estació, Cèntric, Parc Nou, Mas Blau, Aeroport T2 and Aeroport T1. 

Stops at the airport:

  • "Aeroport T1" Tube station. Terminal T1, floor 0.
  • "Aeroport T2" Tube station. Terminal T2, outdoors.

By Bus

Up to 10 different buses connect the airport with the city and other places of tourist interest, such as the coast, Andorra or Port Aventura.

Five city bus lines join the Terminal with different points in the city of Barcelona and the province. Another 4 intercity lines connect T1 with different centres of tourist interest such as the Costa Brava, the Costa Dorada, Andorra or Port Aventura, as well as Girona, Tarragona and Lleida.

The Aerobús joins the airport with Plaça de Catalunya in Barcelona.

There are bus stops on the road leading into the airport (Level 0) and the road leading out (Level 3).

Suburban rail (Cercaníes)

The airport’s T2 is connected to the city via a suburban rail line.

Initially the train service will operate via the T2 Cercaníes station. From here there will be a bus service with buses that leave in time to coincide with train arrivals and which join both terminals in a journey that takes only 10 minutes.

There is also a shuttle bus service that joins the two terminals every 7 minutes.

By private car

You can reach the Barcelona T1 via the C31 and the C32 roads, after which you take the B-22 deviation.

Car Park service

You have more than 12,000 parking places distributed in two public car-park areas.

Barcelona Airport’s T1 has two public parking areas which together have more than 12,000 parking places. One is formed of two nine-storey buildings (9,400 places) plus an above-ground car park (1,600 places) with direct access to the Terminal; and the other is for long-term parking (1,059 places), two kilometres from T1.

The new car-park building has two blocks of nine floors, each divided into three modules (modules A, B and C in the first block; D, E and F in the second). The second floors of both blocks have 108 places set aside for people with reduced mobility.

There is a shuttle bus service that joins the long-stay car park with terminal T1 (with a stop on the arrivals road and another on the departures road) which runs from 7 a.m. to 12 midnight, with a bus departing every 12 minutes. A service on demand is offered at night.
