How many Elite Points do you get with your flight?
All flights, whether with Iberia or other oneworld carriers, will earn you Elite Points. However, not all flights give you the same amount of points. Depending on your destination, fare and the airline you have selected, you will earn a higher amount of Elite Points.
With direct flights operated by the Iberia Group with an IB code
You'll get 1 Elite Point for every euro spent on the following items:

The net cost of your ticket, i.e. the fare and the operator's charges.

Travel add-ons:* additional baggage, seat selection, cabin upgrades, etc.

Taxes and fees are excluded.
*Travel add-ons acquired after the purchase of your ticket will also give you Elite Points, regardless of the time of purchase.
You'll also have the opportunity to earn extra Elite Points when you book flights with Optimal, Comfort and Flexible fares, in Business, Premium Economy or Economy. You'll find all the details about these extra Elite Points below.

This table applies to flights with code Iberia (IB) or Iberia Express (I2), operated by Iberia Group or on flights operated by partner airlines in the programme.
On flights between Madrid and Barcelona with Air Shuttle fare, extra Elite Points will be 150 in Air Shuttle Comfort and 200 in Air Shuttle Flexible for Economy, as well as 300 in fare Air Shuttle Flexible for Business.
* On tickets purchased from Iberia Express (with code I2), the following equivalences will apply to the additional Elite Points: Classic-Optimal, Plus-Comfort and Flex-Flexible.
** Latin America comprises the following destinations operated by Iberia: Mexico, Central America, Caribbean (except Puerto Rico) and South America.
Exceptions to earning Elite Points on Iberia Group flights with IB code
For tickets where the amount is not available, for example, in negotiated fares or travel packages, the Elite Points to be earned will not be calculated per amount spent, but based on the following table:

You'll get 1 Elite Point for every euro spent on the following items:

Airport taxes, fees and any other charges are excluded.
You'll also have the opportunity to earn extra Elite Points on each segment when flying in First Class, Business and Premium Economy.

The accumulation principle remains the same: 1 Elite Point per euro spent, excluding taxes and fees.

Vueling flights
Flights with a Vueling code (VY) or Iberia code (IB) operated by Vueling will generate Elite Points according to the total eligible spend.
You'll get 1 Elite Point for every euro spent on the following items:

Flights with oneworld airlines
With the rest of oneworld Allianceairlines*, you'll earn Elite Points, not based on the amount spent, but based on the distance flown, booking class and the cabin you're flying in.
