How can I upgrade my Economy ticket for Business or Premium Economy class?

We offer you the option of travelling in Business or Premium Economy so that you can enjoy this on-board experience. Here's what you'll get:

Dedicated check-in desks
Free seat selection
Fast track (for Business passengers)
Access to the VIP lounge (for Business passengers)
All the on-board Business services: fine food, more leg room, etc.
Priority baggage delivery

Once you have bought your ticket in Economy class, go to Booking Management or Check-in to find out whether you are eligible for an upgrade.

There are several upgrade options:

Your bid

You set the price. Submit an offer for each leg of your journey. The higher the bid, the better the chance of it being accepted. You can change your bid up to five days before you travel, and you'll know whether it's been accepted or not four days before departure.

Campaigns

We offer you a set price, depending on the route and flight duration, to be able to travel in Business or Premium Economy class.

In Check-in time

""Check-in time"" means that in the 24 hours before the departure of the flight you'll be able to buy a ticket for a higher class at a set price, depending on the route.

By using your Avios

And if you belong to the Iberia Plus programme, you can upgrade using your Avios, as long as your ticket is a Y, B or H fare and there is availability in the Premium cabins. Once you've signed in you can do it through Manage your booking or alternatively you can contact our Customer service.

This service is subject to the availability of certain classes in the Business cabin (this does not apply flights operated by other companies and Air Shuttle flights). For more information, please check with your Iberia Plus Service Centre.

The terms and conditions applicable to the fare and earning Avios are those stated in the relevant clauses when you purchase your ticket.
